"Repel" fatty liver thanks to the diet
Dr. Tieu said that fatty liver is a fat accumulation in the liver (> 5% of the liver weight). In the early stages, fatty liver is not dangerous for patients. However, if the patient does not detect and treat it promptly, the disease may progress severe, causing impaired liver function, leading to hepatitis, cirrhosis, even liver cancer.
According to the doctor, fatty liver may improve when the patient changes the diet.Patients should increase the intake of fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains such as oats and high quality protein foods such as chicken breast, fish, eggs, ...

Studies on diet for people with fatty liver have shown that the diet high in fruit and vegetables is especially good for the liver due to high fiber, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants..In particular, the fiber content of fruits and vegetables can help prevent and reduce fat accumulation in the liver, thereby helping to improve fatty liver disease.
Besides, foods such as chicken breast, fish, eggs, ... are often rich in protein but less fat and less calories than red meats. Therefore, these foods are especially suitable for people with fatty liver disease. The rich source of protein in these foods also supports regeneration and restoration of damaged tissue and cells, including liver cells damaged by fatty liver disease.
In the case of Mr. Vuong, Dr. Tieu said Mr. Vuong chose quite healthy foods for the main meal.Oats and cucumbers help replenish healthy fiber and eggs.In addition, Mr. Vuong also limits foods rich in fat, foods high in sugar and salt.It was these things that helped him improve liver function and "repel" fatty liver disease.
Dr. Tieu encourages Mr. Vuong to continue this healthy diet. However, the doctor also noted that Mr. Vuong needs to eat more foods instead of just eating oats, cucumbers and eggs.
